The Work Of Faith & Service

Guided by divine calling and supported by devoted hearts, the Gura Masta Foundation actively works to preserve sacred traditions, serve our community, and honor the legacy of the twelve brothers.
Digital Archive and Museum
Creating an online repository of photos, videos, oral histories, and academic research accessible to scholars worldwide while building toward a physical Masta Heritage Museum in Jumla.
Youth Engagement Program
Expanding our youth ambassador initiative with mentorship, leadership training, and scholarship opportunities for students researching Khas heritage. Cultivating the next generation of cultural guardians.
Complete Pareli Documentation
A comprehensive project to record, transcribe, and preserve all known Pareli ballads the first-person divine narratives chanted during Dhami possessions. This oral literature is the “autobiography” of our gods.
Masta Cultural Center Construction
Plans are underway to establish a dedicated cultural center where devotees, researchers, and travelers can gather. This hub will house our archive, host ceremonies, offer traditional training programs, and serve as a spiritual retreat.
Community Outreach and Education
Visiting schools and villages to teach younger generations about Masta Devta through storytelling, folk music, and interactive workshops. We train youth ambassadors who champion cultural pride in their communities.
Cultural Documentation Project
Recording oral histories, Pareli chants, and folklore from village elders before this knowledge is lost. Our archive includes video/audio documentation, translations and field research from remote areas of Karnali and Far-Western Nepal.
Supporting Local Devotees
We provide assistance to elderly devotees and Dhami shamans with ritual supplies, healthcare access during major festivals and emergency support. Their well-being ensures the tradition’s continuity.
Temple Cleaning and Preservation
Many sacred shrines suffer from weathering and neglect. We mobilize youth volunteers to clean sites, repair structures and plant protective trees all while respecting traditional norms that keep these spaces spiritually pure and accessible.
Annual Masta Puja and Celebrations
Every year, the foundation organizes and sponsors communal worship gatherings across multiple villages. These sacred ceremonies bring together hundreds of devotees for ritual offerings, Dhami performances and traditional music strengthening community bonds and protecting spiritual continuity.
